According to research conducted by Judith Diamond,
Zippora was raised in the town of Gedvice, in the
northwestern-most corner of Lithuania. She was born in 1824 to Michael
Gedvicer,
a miller.
After her husband died in 1876, she lived with their
children. She died around 1889.
